Wow. If the turnout at our NYC Automation Innovation Conference on December 7 was any barometer of growth in US interest in and acceptance of RPA and intelligent automation then, my original prediction that 2016 would be the “Year of the Robot,” was spot on!
In previous discussions and commentary over the past year, I’ve predicted that 2016 will be the year of the robot. The year it all comes together. The year that the business mode and our roles change for good. In addition, as many of you know, the theme of IRPA’s 2015 sold out Automation Innovation Conference was all about preparing for this coming year — the year of the robot.
You could say this is simply an attempt at a clever marketing theme but I’m here to tell you it’s not. In gathering the intel from meeting with industry analysts, buyers, providers, advisors and all the members of the IRPA influencer community, in addition to my professional “spidey-sense,” this is indeed the year. Ready or not, here come the robots
